"If I have to get up, I'm not doing it."

We actually did absolutely nothing today.

Cowboy wasn't feeling well, so he slept all day. Badger and I did nothing most of the day, and just before Cowboy had to leave for work, we fell asleep.

I think we slept for almost two hours. Some days are like that.

"October is crisp days and cool nights, a time to curl up around the dancing flames and sink into a good book."

“Bittersweet October. The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.”

One Cat, Two Households, Everyone Feeds Him 🐱

Our internet is running at the speed of molasses.

I'm assuming that with us being in the boonies and kids needing to be online most of the day for school, they're not able to keep up with the demand.

I do need to call & get that taken care of, although my Netflix and blogging isn't as important as oh science and math.

Heron reminded me today is Mabon which means autumn officially starts tomorrow.

Tore Out the Floor and Found Out I Keep Everything

It's after 10 pm, we're just finishing up supper.

The house is a huge mess, you can't even sneeze in my living room, my backyard looks like a garage sale is going on.

Yes, I may have some hoarding tendencies.
I hurt in places I didn't even know could hurt, and Cowboy looks like a hunched over troll.
But day 1 is over without any trips to the ER & we didn't kill each other, so that's a plus.

"When summer gathers up her robes of glory, and, like a dream, glides away."

We had to go out and buy phone cards this morning, as I told Cowboy I would just about rather go back to Verizon or something than have to remember to buy cards each month.

We came home, and Cowboy hit the yard.
He stayed outside until dark, cleaning up all the scrap metal he's been collecting.
Badger and I watched TV for a while and mostly just did nothing.

“One can never have enough socks"

The days, they run together.

This was another day of just sitting at the house, binge-watching Netflix.

It's winter, despite the oddly warm temperatures, it's still winter, and we're into that hibernating mode.

I have a terrible housewife confession to make: I don't mate socks.
Everyone has a ton of socks, out of self-defense, I guess they just keep buying socks.
So when they come out of the dryer, if they aren't obvious mates, I toss them into a trash bag to mate for later.
