Feels like i have been kicked in the head by an angry garden gnome

They called Cowboy in to work early today.

Badger went to bed with a headache last night and woke up with one today. 
We just kept her home. 
It's the last week of school before Christmas break. 
She really shouldn't be missing, but I’m not sure what else to do. 
I can send her to school, but I’ll likely be back in the nurse’s office within an hour.
I've never had a migraine, but they must be a doozy. 
She's getting really close to being truant, though.

Yeah, I Did It, So?

Heron came home from school today and told me that on his way to lunch he saw Badger with another child at the front door, about to leave. 
The door was already opening, but she turned back to her class, maybe because she saw him, maybe because he said something. 
Later, when I asked her what she was doing, she only shrugged.
