Do I ever really have anything?
Badger is out of commission, so we're not even getting our evening walks.
I'm debating taking her to the regular doctor; the only thing stopping me is that she doesn't seem sick.
She just has a nasty cough.
Well, that and I worry about Cowboy driving.
This isn’t a good time of year to have him on the interstate.
The walk‑in clinic used to be amazing; they caught sickness our regular doctor missed.
This time, I don’t think they handled it well.
They didn’t treat the cough; the nasal spray and anti‑nausea medication weren’t needed.
I’ll assume that with her Adderall there are a lot of medications she can’t take, but I’d hoped they could’ve found something.
We had a storm come through.
I never saw any lightning, but the thunder sure rumbled.
There was heavy rain and high winds, too.
Badger said she did not think it used to storm in December.
I Googled, and it is uncommon for Tennessee to get storms in December.
I want to say we started seeing weather changes around 2018 or 2019.
The weather has become so unpredictable that you really do not know what to expect anymore.
I burned dinner; there is a reason Badger kicked me out of the kitchen.
She has just not wanted to cook this week.
I had a murder book; I wanted to see how it ended.
I am fairly sure I turned the stove down. Apparently not.
Look, if it were only me, I would live on TV dinners, and I have even burned those.
Cereal, oatmeal, and PB and J would be fine.
The oven would not be necessary.
Cowboy's Christmas bonus came through, which is a relief.
We are giving money again this year.
It feels cold and impersonal, but we honestly do not know what to buy everyone.
Let me tell you, when you have 6 children, 9 grandchildren, and 4 spouses in the mix, the amount you pull out of the bank will make your hair stand up.
We are not even being extravagant with the money.
If that bonus had not come through, we would have had to dip into our savings, and it would have wiped us out.
Poor Zwei has the misfortune of having a birthday on Dec. 26th, right after Christmas.
He is only getting ten dollars this year. Cowboy wasn’t thrilled, but it’s the same amount Eins and Drei got.
We can’t give Zwei more.
It wouldn’t be fair, and it would cause trouble.
It rained all day, so my strays did not get fed.
I feel terrible about it, especially when that little white cat comes running through the rain to see if there is anything to eat.
I have nowhere dry to put food, and putting it out in the rain is just throwing it away.
I think my chatty butt will head to bed. Tomorrow is another town day.
I think we only need to go to Walmart, but that is bad enough.
I am with Cowboy.
It would be nice to have another place to shop besides Walmart.
Food City is too expensive, and IGA is all generics.
Those are the only two other places besides Walmart to buy groceries around here.
I do not mind generics, but the selection at IGA is pretty limited.
I love Food City, I really do, but their prices are about twice as high as Walmart.
Walmart has the best selection, and it’s the least expensive.
They are putting up another coffee shop.
I love my coffee, but I would trade that place in a heartbeat for Ingles Markets, Kroger, or Aldi.
Aldi would be amazing.
There is a big college right in the middle of town, and you would think those kids would want more than coffee, burgers, and Walmart.
