May your stuffing be tasty, your turkey be plump, and your family be happy this Thanksgiving

Even for us, this was about the most “un-holiday” holiday ever.
Raven was out the door to the other parent’s house before 9 am.
Cowboy went to work just before noon and didn’t get home until 6:20.
Heron went fishing but made it back before dark.
So it ended up being just me and Badger, all by our lonesome.

Since she had everything pre-cooked and ready, we spent the whole day watching TV.
We were complete couch potatoes.

Even the turkey behaved this year, though to be fair, it was just a seven-pound turkey breast.

Badger pulled together an amazing meal; everything came out perfectly cooked, nothing burned or underdone.
That’s my usual M.O.

We’ve eaten ourselves silly, and now everyone’s drifting into a food coma.
As for me, I’m signing off and settling in to watch “Stranger Things.”
