Forget the dog—beware the bird

Thanksgiving is going to be really low-key this year, just me, Cowboy, and three of the kids.
It's also Cowboy's birthday, so our menu will be a birthday menu, not a Thanksgiving menu, which makes it easier for me.
We'll have a chicken casserole, mashed potatoes, and green beans.
I'm wanting to make him some no-bake cookies and a cheesecake, but we'll see on that.

You Know I'm Trouble But You Love Me Anyway

I just really noticed the date. 
We gained a new month while we were out “roughing it.” 
I can’t believe it’s already September. 
Of course, Badger is making sure we know what month it is and what comes in September.
