“To most human beings, wind is an irritation. To most trees, wind is a song.”

We had a very quiet morning, with Cowboy napping and Badger and I watching television.

Cowboy finally snorted awake at 2 pm.
He and Badger took off to give her some more practice driving.
They got back at 4 pm.
She headed up to Morristown.

I had a clean house, caught up on laundry, so I just watched more television while they were gone.
There really wasn't anything else to do.

After they got home, I had Cowboy drive me down to Target.
SK said that she found two cat houses marked dirt cheap.
They looked fun, and she said they were cheap, so I have eight cats.
Nope.
I mean, Raven even called Cowboy and still insisted they were marked on clearance.
We went to the same Target.
They were full price for us and, really, too expensive for a glorified cardboard box.
Cowboy still bought one.

We stopped at Lowe's and Home Depot.
I need another snowball bush to put in front of the window that looks out into that new house's window.
Badger looked out the window on Friday and yelled they had their blinds open, and she thought they were looking over here.
I assume they thought we were looking at them because they quickly closed their blinds.
Technically, I suppose we were looking at them.
Anyway, I need another bush to plant by my snowball bush that will grow up and hide their window and mine from each other's view.
I didn't find one, but Etsy has Japanese snowball bushes.
I planted two by the end of the house.
I want to say last summer; it could have been the summer before last.
They just shot up.
I mean, my normal snowball bushes took three-four years to gain the height of those.
Heron said they've even grown taller in the month since he tried to take a cutting off of them.
I'll probably order two of those and hope they are friendly to the normal snowball bushes.
Cowboy and Heron said it would be overcrowded and jungle-like if they survive being that close to each other.
Basically, a jungle is what I'm trying for.
If I had more room and it wasn't so close to the house, I would put some kind of evergreen tree in.
The snowballs go naked from October until April, which doesn't help my problem.
When Mrs. B lived there, we never had any problem with peeping.
She kept her curtains closed all the time, and she had a regular mobile home, so she had fewer windows facing my windows.

We came home, ate supper, and Cowboy put together the cat house.
It was not easy and it was basically cardboard.
I ended up having to duct tape it because it fell apart as soon as he moved it off the table.
It was a huge waste of money.
The cats seem to hate it.
They'll climb in for a minute or two and then go back to the tree.

Badger and I took a quick walk around the block, and now I'm calling it a day.
Frankly, supper didn't settle all that well.

There is a bit of maybe good news with JA and Peacock, but I will not jinx them until it's official.
No, no babies.
Just send them good luck vibes, please.

I think I've had one of those cardboard cat houses before but my cat's make quick work of it so I never got another! I don't blame you for planting privacy bushes!

If I had known it was just a box I would have left it at the store. I thought it was like maybe model airplane material, maybe. Thin plywood-something a little more durable.
There are times I wish I hadn't married a man who is strongly against fences :)
