Hello, flower season! You make me happy

I was up at 7 AM.
It was a bit strange coming into an empty living room.
I'd better get used to it, though.

Heron says that he's moving back into his RV because it's hot weather now, and his cats need him.
And if all goes to plan, he's leaving for good in August.
Where he's moving to, it won't be easy for him to drop in for a cup of coffee daily, either.

Badger was up at 8:30 AM, but she went back to bed.

Although I'm just a housewife, I consider this my retirement years.
I've raised the kids, I've helped with the grandkids.
It's my time to be lazy.

Cowboy was up at 10:30 AM, grumbling about oversleeping.
He had plans for the yard today.
Being back on this shift, he doesn't really have time to do anything.
The weekends are when Badger and I make appointments, so even his Saturdays aren't guaranteed available.

Badger was back up at 11 AM.
She took Duffy to pee
It's a bit odd not to have Lady with us.
She came in, got her breakfast, and headed to her hobbit hole.

I went down, let Heron's cats out on the catio.
They enjoy the taste of being outside.
I came back up, settled down on my computer again.
It was 11 AM before Cowboy headed outside to take the trash off.

When he came back, we had him take us to the Dollar Store.
Badger needed shampoo for color-treated hair.
All of her blue keeps coming off on her pillow, her skin, and her shirt.
We were hoping shampooing it would stop that.
We got back just before 12 PM.

As soon as he dumped us off, Cowboy took off again by himself.
Not a word to anyone.
I have no clue where he went, but it was 12:38 PM when he got back.
There was no yard work done today.

Cowboy came home, fiddled around with the mower, took care of the chickens, came in, and took a nap.
Time for dinner rolled around, then Cowboy went to work.

Badger and I were watching TV, and I fell asleep.
While I was napping, Badger sneaked off, and cleaned the litter boxes.
I didn't nap very long, Badger says I take quick mini naps.
I wobbled my way into the kitchen, and got the dishwasher going.

Once Badger finished, she took a shower.
A lot of the blue dye came out, and a lot of the bleached blonde is peeping through.
I told her that since she paid so much and it hasn’t even been a week, and she’s only washed it once, she needs to ask her stylist if this is normal.
Of course, she won't do it, and that's a giant waste of money.

Then we checked on the cats again.
I'm a bit paranoid about Heron's cats.

We came back up, and I moved the many baskets of clean laundry off of Heron's sleeping couch, just in case.
While I was otherwise occupied, Badger sneaked in and separated them for me.

Heron got home at 6:11 PM.
He caught Badger and me in his RV.
We were shutting up and turning the air conditioning on for his cats.

Heron came up and unpacked his truck while Badger and I found some supper.
Our suppers are still a bit skimpy since the great freezer death.
Badger is getting creative.

Heron headed to the river.
You can tell he is feeling considerably better, but he is still cautious.

Then it was TV and computer until time to go walking.

Raven got back at 8:35 PM, right as we were coming back from walking.
We all headed out to the she-shed.
Raven headed back inside.
He doesn't really stay with us long.

Heron roamed back just before 9 PM with a handful of flowers.
I have long since learned not to ask that boy where he keeps coming up with plants.
I think he has a deal with some kind of woodland fairy or something.
I stood out with him, watching him plant them.
I made one suggestion: put one in front of or behind my little gnome mushroom setup.
He kindly did, and I'm pretty sure he muttered something under his breath about having other plans for St. Francis.

Right now it's not so pretty, but it will be.
My roses have filled out right pretty, though the wind, oh I guess Saturday maybe, shook most of their petals off.
I assume they'll keep blooming all summer, though I'm a black thumb not a green thumb and am not sure.

Badger and I headed inside.
Heron went to turn the air conditioning off in his RV.
He said the cats would be all right with open windows.
He saw some video about RVs and the air conditioners causing fires, so he is worried about his now.

He came up and said maybe just one more night on my couch.

Raven was in the recliner.
They sat together for a few minutes, but Raven disappeared into his room.

I think I'll get off of here and go see what's on TV.
