“I love when the house is quiet, the coffee is hot, and I can hear myself think.”

I have the house mostly childproofed and ready for the grands.
If they come down, I'm ready.
If they don't, I'm still ready.

Raven had a quick stop to make first before heading out.
Then he'll go to his former partner's house to take care of the six kids over the weekend.
With him taking care of all six, chances are good they won't be down, but never say never.

I'm not going to lie.
I enjoyed my evening.
I laid down, took a good nap, then watched TV, read, and blogged.

The house was entirely mine.
Badger stayed in her room, and Heron worked a double shift today.

The cats were happy as little clams.
They didn’t have to stay in the laundry room.
The dogs were as happy as pigs in mud.
They got to roam free.

We all make small adjustments when the grands are here for the weekend so Raven and the kids can stay with us.

No plans for tomorrow, but Badger is adding to her tattoo collection.
This will be number seven for her.
The fellow set it up for 7 p.m.
We’ll probably be getting home close to 11 p.m., depending on how fast he tattoos.
Cowboy isn’t thrilled about it; he can’t see well enough to drive at night anymore.

That’s on my to-do list: get him and Badger an eye exam.
I keep putting it off because I hate going out when it’s cold.

I guess I will go catch up on my Thursday shows.
I watch “Ghosts” and “School Spirit” rather faithfully.
I tried watching “White Lotus.” Peacock recommended it.
I got through almost two seasons before it just drove me batty, and I gave up on it.

I can turn the TV up as loud as I want tonight.
I won't be waking the kids up.
Oh yeah, Raven has barged into my bedroom, complaining that my TV is keeping his kids awake.
From Friday to Sunday, I keep the TV muted and use closed captioning.
Let me just tell you, closed captioning is not accurate, and at times, it's rather funny.
