“I love when the house is quiet, the coffee is hot, and I can hear myself think.”

I have the house mostly childproofed and ready for the littles.
If they come down, I'm ready. 
If they don't, I'm still ready.

Raven’s stopping at the courthouse first.
Then he’s off to the other parents’ place to wrangle all six kids for the weekend.
With that crew in tow, odds are they won’t be down.
Still-never say never.

I’m not going to lie; I enjoyed my evening.
I curled up, took a nap, that actually helped.
Then I watched a little TV, read a few pages, blogged a bit.
The house stayed quiet.
No sudden noises.
No commotion.
Just stillness.
And I needed that.

I had the house to myself.
Badger didn’t leave her room, and Heron was out working a double.

The cats were happy as little clams. 
They didn’t get locked in the laundry room.
The dogs were as happy as pigs in mud. 
They got to be free.
We all make small adjustments when the littles are here for the weekend.

No plans for tomorrow, but Badger is adding to her tattoo collection.
This will be number seven for her.
The fellow set it up at 7 p.m. 
Yeah, 7 p.m.
We'll be getting home probably close to 11 p.m., depending on how fast he tattoos.
Cowboy is having a cow, but he can't see to drive at night anymore.

I guess I will go catch up on my Thursday shows.
I watch “Ghosts” and “School Spirit” rather faithfully.
I tried watching “White Lotus.”
Peacock recommended it.
I got through almost two seasons before it just drove me batty, and I gave up on it.

I can turn the TV up as loud as I want tonight.
I won't be waking the littles up.
Oh yeah, Raven has come into my bedroom to say the TV was keeping the crew awake.
From Friday to Sunday, I keep the TV muted and use closed captioning.
Let me just tell you.
Closed captioning is not accurate. 
Sometimes it's rather funny.
