"Winter bows out, spring blooms in—welcome back, warmth and wandering walks!" πŸ‘ŸπŸ˜Ž

We had the dermatologist appointment this morning.
Badger is unhappy with the amount of time the doctor spent with her.
He basically breezed in, and breezed out.
I tried to get in a few questions, but the man was in a hurry.
He says that she has irritant contact dermatitis or hand eczema.
He prescribed a steroid hand cream, and told her it will clear it up.
She needs to stop washing her hands so much, and with such harsh chemicals.
She also needs to lay off the Germ-X because she uses it constantly
Unless it continues, she doesn't need to go back.

Having had two rounds of Covid, Badger is still washing her hands more than usual.
She’s worried about getting sick a third time, which is likely why her hands have become irritated.

Apparently, the first time I had Covid, I terrified her.
Had we had any sense, I probably should have been in the hospital.
I was basically unconscious for about a week and didn’t move from my bed.

For the first time in her life, Badger was pretty much on her own.
Cowboy worked nights and slept all day, and she was doing her best to take care of me by herself.

Then she got Covid, and the honest truth is Cowboy didn’t offer any help to either of us.
She somehow managed to try to care for me while she herself was exhausted, every bone aching, head pounding, barely able to move.
I couldn’t take care of her or myself.
I slept almost continuously through those days.

So, you know, I understand her fear of a third round of Covid.
Trust me, I do.
But when your hands are sore and chapped, maybe it’s time to ease up on the Germ-X and Dawn.

We grabbed breakfast at Burger King.
We were up at 7 am and out the door by 8:30 am.
CVS still hadn’t got her prescription ready, so we just headed home.
Waiting another day isn’t going to make a difference.

We got home, ate breakfast, and Cowboy went to sleep in his recliner.
He didn’t wake back up until 1 pm, when he went to take care of his chickens.

Badger got new camera lenses, so we took a walk.
School is on spring break this week, so we were able to take our cemetery hike.
Church is tonight, so no evening walk.
It seems like every time we walk through the cemetery, we see a headstone we've somehow missed.

We came home, Badger headed to her room.
She didn't pop back out until late this evening.

Of course, Cowboy works, so I was pretty much alone until Raven came home.
He spent the evening putting together a bookcase and mentioned that his room felt a bit small for it.

They surveyed Side Deck Neighbor's yard today.
The area we've been parking at is actually on her side, oops.
I think Heron buried his puppy also on her side, but that, at least, is way down in the backyard.
They have a big old dumpster in the yard, I guess either they'll be cleaning out her son's shed or maybe doing some work on her house.
Then presumably it'll go up for sale.

Somehow, around 10 pm, I ended up in the backyard, keeping Badger company while she took pictures of the stars.
That camera is amazing!

Our backyard is just kind of creepy, though.
I really don't see how Heron lives back there.

Nothing else to jabber about, tomorrow is town day.
Last week, Cowboy popped out at 9 am, we'll see about tomorrow.
