My blood type is pumpkin spice

Today found us on the road again, heading to M. so Badger could get her camera cleaned.
We had no idea where we were going, exactly.
Google Maps is a bit wacky at times.
We got to downtown M, and I'll be doggone if it wasn't closed off; they were having some sort of festival.

Cowboy found a parking place and told Badger and me we could walk.
Oh yeah, he had no idea if we were right next door to the place or a mile away, but his solution was to tell us to take a hike.
Luckily for him, and us, I guess, it turned out to be just up the hill.
Not far at all, only a short walk from the spot where he’d booted us out of the car.

The cleaning didn’t take long, and that stubborn hair on her sensor is finally gone.
Cowboy thought he’d sneak in a long nap, but he got surprised when we popped back up sooner than he expected.

We headed up to Five Below after that, and I picked out a new bed for the cats.
Badger said, considering their terminal illness, it was inappropriate.
After we got home and let the cats sniff it, and Badger sprinkled catnip on it, our old man cat Lucifer took it over.
Fox wasn't too happy; he considered it his.

I also bought a crinkly sack, and I had hoped Coyote would snuggle in it, since he loves burrowing.
The thing is kitten‑sized, and gigantic Coyote won’t fit in it.
But a few of the cats have swatted it, and even tentatively laid on it, so maybe it won’t be a waste.

After Five Below, Cowboy surprised us with lunch at Long John Silver’s.
They’ve got a kiosk no;no more talking to live humans, which is a relief.
At one point, a little pirate popped up on the screen, and that was pretty cool.

Our last stop was at Food City.
When we went to the store Friday, I bought a new Ramen product at our Food City.
I opened it for supper, and I got a bit of a shock to find out it was actually rice that you cooked in the microwave, just like my Ramen noodles.
It was pretty darn tasty, but our store only had one package.
While we were in M, I decided to see if they had it, and I got lucky.
They had four packages left, and I snapped them up quickly.

Food City had a Starbucks inside, so of course we grabbed a coffee.
Do you really think we’d pass that up?
My blood type is caffeine.

As for pumpkin spice, I hate to admit it, but out of Dunkin’, Dutch Bros, Starbucks, and McDonald’s, the McDonald’s version wins.
Starbucks tasted almost like licking a candle.

When we got home, Cowboy headed straight for his recliner and straight to sleep.
I don’t think he was feeling well today, and a trip to M hadn’t been in either of our plans.
Badger went to her room, I played on the computer for a while, and then I settled into my room to read and watch TV.

Cowboy woke up around 5:30 p.m., and he went out to put a new motion detector light up on my she‑shed.
I'm getting a bit worried about Cowboy and his lights.
I know I'm a bit paranoid with my camera, but Cowboy is usually the one pooh‑poohing us about imagining haints.
This makes the third light he's put up, not counting the two on the carport.

Heron is going to get a big surprise when he gets home, this one is brighter than the first one.
Speaking of Heron, he came home and took my dog.
Oh fine, Lady is officially his, but I still say if it's me she's sleeping with, I'm partially her owner.

Badger stayed outside for quite a while, practicing her throwing and snapping pictures without a stray hair in the middle.
Later, she and I took a little walk around the block.

By the time we got back, it was dark.
Dark falls so early now.

Cowboy is settled down with his phone, Badger is in her room, so I think I'll head to my room.
I have a book I want to finish.
