This morning I was checking my phone to see what time I last called Cook’s.
I still don’t know how to work this new phone, so I accidentally called Cowboy while he was sleeping.
Then I couldn’t figure out how to hang up.
It got him up early, and he accused me of doing it on purpose.
In the end it worked out.
We got to the camera shop well before it closed at noon.
Badger left her lenses there on consignment, since the owner couldn’t buy them outright.
He only had two lenses for her camera, and one of them was more than four hundred dollars.
Camera lenses are expensive, and photography is an expensive hobby.
We hadn’t even made it to Morristown before the hair stylist messaged saying she was running behind and wanted to move our appointment to 1:45 p.m.
I hated to say no because Badger loves how she cuts her hair, but I had to.
Cowboy didn’t want to stay in Morristown all day.
We had left the house at 10:30 a.m., and he was already saying he didn’t feel well.
Three or four people at the plant have COVID right now.
Cowboy is around them all the time, and nobody masks up anymore.
As I told Badger, I had to get my hair cut today since I have a doctor appointment on Monday.
We just went to Great Clips.
Neither of us likes the place, but beggars can’t be choosers.
Badger’s naturally curly hair looked fantastic.
Mine?
Well, I can see again, and they didn’t go clipper crazy and shave me, so I’m calling that a win.
Cowboy went into Harbor Freight and Rural King while Badger and I stayed in the car.
Since Rural King and Dunkin’ share a parking lot, I said to heck with it and got myself a pumpkin spice iced latte.
Our last stop was Little Caesars.
Two pizzas were more than enough to cover lunch and supper.
We made it home at twenty to two.
Badger and I took turns showering because we were covered in fallen hair and it was itchy.
Then we finally got to eat.
Cowboy waits for no man.
He was already having lunch.
We finished lunch, and Cowboy went outside.
Badger headed to her room to work on Christmas presents for her brothers.
I fed the dogs, plugged in and filled the water fountains, and loaded the breakfast dishes into the dishwasher.
Then I started a new load of laundry and put away the one that had been waiting.
The afternoon went by fast.
Cowboy came in at 5:30 p.m. and napped until 7:20.
With him asleep and Badger in her room, I just played on the computer until he woke up and turned on the TV.
Now I’m heading to my room to read for a while.
