Meow is the time to shine

Today was a nice, quiet, ordinary day.
We stayed away from the railroad tracks and kept to the house.
Well, after our trip to the veterinarian this morning.

The Quiet Weight of Things Left Behind

Life goes on.
If there’s anything I’ve learned in life, it’s that life doesn’t stop for grieving.
It moves on.
It doesn’t matter how badly your heart may be breaking, life won’t stop for you.

A cat’s day begins when the house goes quiet

Badger insisted Smudge was in my room when I went to bed. I checked under the bed, behind everything, and in the closet, but no cat. So I went on to sleep.

Always better to take down a weakened tree on your terms... rather than a storm deciding when it's time to come down

This turned into one heck of a long day.
I don’t know how it even happened, but Raven figured out his car absolutely wasn’t fixed.
Cowboy skipped church, and the part he needed was easier to find, so they headed to Jefferson City and picked it up.
They worked on that car all day, and it’s still not fixed.
Cowboy is stumped, and when he is stumped, you know it’s bad.

I run on caffeine and pure exhaustion

It was good we took yesterday as a movie and rest day.
Today was not a rest day.

We got to the store, got our groceries in.
Came home, ate dinner.

My hobbies include binge-watching TV shows and avoiding adulting

When I said I was taking Wednesday as a rest day, I really meant I was taking it as a rest day.
After Cowboy went to work, Badger and I took a walk around our block.
Part of her therapy is to get out of the house, get some exercise and fresh air.
That was done.
