The day is over, night has come, today is over, what’s done is done.

At 1 am this morning, Heron woke me up calling for help.
He started a new job today, and he forgot he needed an invoice book, yeah, nice time to remember.
He had gone to what he thought was an all-night Walmart, but it was closed, and his truck was dead.
If he had asked us before taking off, we would have told him that Walmart closes at night.
It's the one Peacock works at, and he said they had to start closing early because they were robbing them blind overnight.
We loaded up and went to rescue him, Badger & I could have stayed home, but I'm the family banker and if he required money I had the card.

The worst thing about Halloween is, of course, candy corn

It was a busy, busy day today.
Thursdays are, of course, town day, so we got our groceries in and got that out of the way.

Peacock reminded me he needed a babysitter for Gealach tomorrow, which I had forgotten about.
I guess one of us should pen it in on the calendar, because you can't tell me two weeks in advance that I'll be watching the kid and expect me to remember.
It's just not happening.

googling for plans on how to build an ark

They canceled school because of flooding.
There is one creek close to us called Lost Creek, and if it rains enough, Lost Creek gets found.
I want to say that it started raining Friday night—not sure, though.

Approach with extreme caution, headache in progress

The school told me, “Absolutely no more absenteeism!”
Well, Badger had a killer headache yesterday—the kind where you don't eat, and you just sleep and pray it stops. I didn’t give her the emergency pill—by the time I woke her, it was time for her regular one, and I try to hold off when I can since it makes her drowsy. All these pills have to be habit-forming. She woke up with a dull throbbing, but I sent her on to school.
