It's the first day of autumn, but summer is still holding on.
It was 88° (31°C) today.
It's starting to look like fall though—the leaves are falling, and everything is kind of getting that dead brown look.
It's pumpkin season, too.
Every time we go to the store, they've brought something new and pumpkiny out.
I always look forward to pumpkin season.
We had to run an errand for Peacock this morning, but it is something that has to be done in person, so that was a waste of time.We did finally get to the store and got that over with.
Cowboy came home, and he's been poking around Heron's truck again.
They just can't seem to find what ails it, or if they have, they don't have the proper tool to fix it.
He said he was going to try to make a tool or a part at work tonight.
Hopefully he'll get the truck fixed soon, because Heron has borrowed his work truck, and he just doesn't like our rough sons to use his trucks.
Badger and I have taken it easy today.
She has a headache.
I did get the house tidied up just in case, although Peacock said he's not coming up this weekend.
We also cleaned out the guinea pig's cage.
She's the smelliest beast we've owned.
The two boys never stunk like her.
I was holding her in my arms outside while Badger hosed her cage down when a neighbor came up—“Oh, that is the tiniest puppy I've ever seen.”
Nope, not a pup: a glorified rat.
I kind of-sort of-held Moo up, and she went “ooooh” and hightailed it on down the hill a little faster than she normally walks.
I guess she wasn't a fan of very large rodents.
I guess I am going to get off of here and see what I can find on TV.
Not very much—Comcast hasn't changed our programming all summer.
It's the same old same old.
