Allergies: When Nature Hates You

We had no trouble finding the doctor's office today.
It's where Cowboy took Peacock for twice a week allergy shots for about four years.

I wasn't in the waiting room very long, nor did I have to wait on the doctor.
I was really glad of that.

He thinks that my hives are autoimmune in nature.
He said that my hypothyroidism is autoimmune, and I should be tested for Hashimoto's and Graves'.

There is hot weather urticaria and cold weather urticaria, and I have the cold kind.

He said I'll be fine on the medication Dr. L prescribed, even for the long term, but if at some point they stop working, there is a shot out there for urticaria.

The melancholy days are come, the saddest of the year

I woke up at 8:30 in the morning.
These cold mornings, I am in no hurry to crawl out of my toasty bed into a cold house.
If it wasn’t for my hip throbbing, I’d stay in bed all day.
Unfortunately, my darn hip likes to throb.

The house was already clean, so other than taking Duffy out and feeding my strays, I worked on my blog all morning.
It’s my project.
