We had a really rainy morning, but the sun popped out later in the afternoon, it was also a lot chillier than last week, but our temps were more normal for this time of year.
We had our GI appointment this morning and thankfully Badger is doing incredibly well on the two reflux pills and the no dairy diet, so we don't have to go back until May.
She wasn't happy to hear that being on the no dairy diet is a forever thing, unless she wants to pay for eating it.
She's not allergic, it's the sugar in the dairy doesn't break down fast enough which makes the stomach acid increase which in turn aggravates her reflux.
Per the GI.
Heron, Badger and I went out this afternoon and planted some hyacinths and daffodils.
I'm not sure if they'll grow, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I know Cowboy will have a hizzy because I planted them in a ring around my faux Bradford Pear tree, which, by the way, is starting to bloom.
It's the weirdest tree though, it'll pop out a couple of pretty white blooms but quickly turn into just green leaves.
I should have gone with an actual Bradford Pear, but this thing is supposed to be hardier and less susceptible to breakage, I just can't remember what it is.
I think it's maybe a Cleveland Pear but from everything I've seen online, they too have abundant white blooms and my tree just doesn't do the blooming thing.
Cowboy prefers all his flowers to be neat and tidy and contained, while I like mine to grow more natural-which is why I'm sure he'll fuss about my planting.
We also planted some dahlias in a planter, and I'm fairly certain they won't grow, we bought them back in October, and they looked all dead and dried up.
I have a black thumb, but I still like a pretty yard.
Normally, though, I make Cowboy do the planting.
I haven't seen anything he can't make grow.
His flowerbed is starting to have little green shoots popping their heads up out of the ground.
I can't wait to see what does come up./
We dragged Lyla Cat out of Badger's bedroom kicking and hissing and deposited her in the laundry room.
No rescue is willing to take her, it's kitten season.
Even the barn cat rescue refuses to accept her, so the only thing I know to do is toss her in the laundry room and hope she doesn't poop on my things I have stored back there.
Like the other cats, I open the door after Cowboy goes to work (and the risk of them escaping the house is slim) and let her roam free.
She just absolutely hates the other cats and the feeling is mutual, and I'm on my feet squirting them with water every couple seconds to break up fights.
Mostly she hides under the couch.
She's so pitiful, though, I feel horrible.
She'll sit and cry at Badger's door for hours to be let in, we just can't let her in-she poops too much.
Badger spent a couple of hours in her bedroom, giving it a thorough cleaning.
Lyla wasn't a filthy cat, except for pooping on the bed.
We had to go out and buy a mattress protector to zip the mattress up in, just to make sure Badger wasn't laying on anything-we bleached her mattress and got all the stains out, but I'm weird.
Cowboy was just going to buy her a new mattress, but she told us in no certain terms that she was not giving up her “cloud bed”
I need to get off of here and try to read a few chapters in my book before the library snatches it back.
Tomorrow I will need to catch up on some laundry and get the house ready for the weekend, Peacock has said he works the next two Friday's, so we'll have Gealach early on Friday morning.
I need to charge her tablet, her daddy got her a tablet loaded with educational games, and he told me to be sure she played on it some.
I'm just enjoying being lazy at the moment
