We found Cowboy a phone, but they didn’t have the same model as we had.
It hadn’t been that long since we bought Badger’s new phone, and they had already gone from Rebel to Rebel 2, and now it was completely gone.
There was a Straight Talk person standing by the cash register.
I mean, I wasn’t sure what his function was supposed to be, but he had a Straight Talk badge on, and I nabbed him.Badger said she didn’t think setting up phones was his job, but I scared him, and he set up Cowboy’s in the store anyway.
Hey, it beat me having to call Straight Talk to activate it myself.
We got home, Badger transferred everything from the old phone to the new, and I think Cowboy is back in business.
He’s got a Journey, which we told him wouldn’t be the same.
He started fiddling around with it and yelled, “Hey, this isn’t my phone!”
Badger and I played it smart and stayed in.
I cleaned up the house, and she played games.
Heron came by to borrow the mower.
He refuses to get even six feet (1.83 m) close to us.
He called and said they’re running behind on testing, so his results aren’t back yet.

I know he got the yard mowed, weed-eated, cut down Ms. J’s tree to the ground, and piled up all the wood to be burned.
I’m not sure what else he got into.

However, his roommate has tested positive for COVID-19, so Heron is still self-isolating.
Cowboy came in and had supper around 7 p.m., and stayed in after that.
Well, we made a quick trip out for fireworks—we always buy fireworks.
I’m not sure about your state, but in my area at least, they set up tents and start selling fireworks at the end of June

They’re usually packed with people—standing elbow to elbow.
The first tent we went to was packed, and we were the only ones wearing masks.
They were basically sold out, so we went across the road.
Again, we were the only customers in masks, but the two guys selling the fireworks were masked up too. They had enough cleaning supplies on the table to sanitize an elephant, so I assume they try to sanitize at least occasionally.
I’m so glad someone else takes the virus seriously.
We came away with more fireworks than I thought we’d buy.
Looks like Cowboy will be putting on a good show this year.
We came home, Cowboy hit his recliner, and Badger and I went outside to the she shed.
It had cooled down just enough to be enjoyable.
She and Duff played around while I watched Hamilton.
I must be an uncouth heathen, but I don’t see what the fuss was about—it was just blah to me.
Nephew D came by.
He wants Cowboy to help work on his car tomorrow.
Cowboy’s family doesn’t see him very often, so they don’t realize how bad he’s gotten—he can barely bend or kneel.
His knees, hips, and feet hurt constantly.
He won’t turn them away when they need help, though.
I guess D will be over here sometime tomorrow.
Cowboy has all the car-working equipment.
Haaahaa I take the virus seriously but I have yet to wear a mask. No mask will keep you from getting it. Period. xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe'll agree to disagree on the mask 😉 I've already gotten in trouble for starting a um heated discussion on our Mayors page 😳
