I can't adult today, it's Wednesday.

I’ll write just to keep up with what day it is.
It’s Wednesday, by the way, but there isn’t a thing to write about.

We started Smudge on her new medication.
Heron said he’d help give it to her since Badger flat out refused.
Badger ended up having to do it because Heron works, and then he has things he does after work.
I can’t do it, that cat is wild and ornery.
Badger barely can do it, and that’s with a lot of yelping and jumping away from claws.
Smudge has two weeks of this phase, and supposedly will go into phase 2 if the rescue gets enough money.
I may send the rescue the money she’s given me so far back and tell her we won’t go to phase 2.
Smudge is just too difficult.

It was another very warm day.
Badger took the dogs outside for a while, but I stayed in.
I just wasn’t in the mood to do anything.

Heron came home from work, puttered around a bit, and before we knew it he had a giant fire going in the backyard.
He burned the old dresser and a bunch of junk lying around his RV.

Badger says he’s not really interested in cleaning up our yard.
He was mostly just cleaning up around his RV, and I agree.

Cowboy was excited that some of this big junk lying around might finally be taken off to the dump.
That’s what you get for getting excited.

That's about all I have for today.
It was just another Wednesday, another do-nothing day.

You've probably tried this but I wrap my wild beast in a large bath towel, Mark holds her and I do the deed. She still wrestles and bites if she gets the chance but at least I don't get shredded.

A dresser would make a large fire! We have to get a burning permit for something like this. A couple of decades ago we got one to burn a large brush pile. First and last time we will do that.

Do nothing days are becoming regular here, too.

Sandra: Thanks for sharing your story. We've tried to burrito Smudge and she just slithers out of towels. We've even tried little area rugs and she slithers out of them too. She's a rescue that's never been totally tamed.

It was a very large fire. We're supposed to get burn permits, but our son had a truck loaded to take to the dump. He tried lifting the dresser, but it was too heavy, and instead of dragging it to the front yard, he just quickly lit a fire. We just hoped no neighbor reported us. Because we're rural, we burn brush and larger trash often, but my husband always gets a permit.

Sometimes do nothing days feel good and other times they make me restless.

I hope you have a good weekend.
