Spring awakening, Easter celebrating

I hope everyone had a good Easter.
It was a quiet one here.

I think we may be in Dogwood Winter.
It rained overnight and was considerably cooler today.
With global warming you can no longer go by the old signs though.
Things that used to have a set growing season are coming up earlier or later now.

Badger and I were up early.
We take all morning to make a meal that's gone in five seconds.
Badger made a chicken casserole.
She got that in the crockpot.
She threw some potatoes in the oven to bake.
She also made a banana pudding.
I made deviled eggs, and we called Easter dinner done.
Gone are the days when we had people come by to eat and we needed a huge meal.

Heron headed to his girlfriend's house.

Cowboy went to morning and evening services, and then slept the day away. I don’t think he feels well these days.

After Cowboy got home from church we ate dinner.
He lay down for his nap.
Badger and I took a little walk just to get some air.

We came home.
Badger headed to her room.
I headed to mine.
I found a weird TV series on Prime to watch.

That's pretty much the day.

Today would have been Cowboy's parents’ birthday. They shared a birthdate five years apart. C. would have been 97 and R. 92.

Heron's due date was April 5th.
My mother‑in‑law was excited to think she might have a grandchild born on their birthdate.
Heron chose his own birthdate, although he almost came on his Uncle Finis’s birthday.
Thankfully he missed it by three days.

I think I'll get off and go back to my show.
