We made a hurried trip to town today, we still don't need very many groceries.
We stopped at the Tractor Supply, Cowboy needed chicken feed.
While we were there, Badger and I went into the Goodwill, I found a cat toy similar to what Toast brought with him.
My cats loved Toast's, so I was hoping they'd like this one.
Because we had an appointment, and we were super early, we went through Long John Silver's drive through and had a picnic in the parking lot.
I'm not sure why they are only doing the drive-through, most places are fully open.
We weren't the only ones eating in the parking lot, there were two others, so maybe this is a new development.
We were looking through our local animal shelter's Facebook page, noticed they had a ton of black cats.
So we filled out an adoption application and made an appointment for a viewing today.
It turned out that she was on sale because she had been at the shelter so long.
To be honest, they were willing to do a two-for deal with any cat in that room.
If I could have fit them both in the carrier, I was about to walk out with both China and Ebony.
Ebony was huge!
It is not a joke that cat had to weigh around 30 pounds (ca. 14 kilogram), alright perhaps that is an exaggeration, but he was heavy.
Badger grabbed China and shoved me out the door, she said Ebony was too lazy, too fat, and too old.
However, once we got China home, I'm doubting that she's really seven months old; she's twice the size of the Trio, and she does not act like a kitten.
Of course, we renamed her, China, really?
We're calling her Annabelle, Annie for short.
Right now, despite supposedly growing up in the animal shelter, Annie isn't getting along with the other cats or the dogs, and she's very cautious with us.
Hopefully, that will change as she gets used to us.
We've mostly sat around all day, tried to get to know Annie and let her get to know us.
There isn't a lot to do anyway.
