Having to people is tiring, and Magiquest was wall-to-wall people.
Plus, the party room was on the 3rd floor, right on the roof.
Badger and I do not do elevators, so she and I walked up three flights of stairs-twice.
Moon's birthday party went well, I guess.
I felt bad for Peacock, no one came except us-and his old brewery pal.
Moon didn't seem to care, though.
Her birthday is actually the 11th, and I would guess her mom will give her another party.
I only got a few candid pictures, and those stink.
After the pizza, and cake were eaten, and the presents opened, everyone headed down to do some questing. You can buy a wand or borrow a wand, Badger, Cowboy and me borrowed one.
The others bought theirs.
We went through all the little areas, Cowboy was a bit mad, he couldn't get his wand to do anything.
Badger and I could only get ours to work on a few things.
I kind of wonder if the borrowed wands just aren't as good as the bought ones.
I particularly enjoyed the little medieval village.
I teased Badger that area was her area, Hobbit Town.
She did not appreciate my humor.
It was loud, and crowded, and we lost the whole party, Badger and Cowboy weren't having fun, so we decided to just leave.
We finally found Raven, and Peacock, and said goodbye to them.
They were all having a blast, Badger and Cowboy were not.
I was sort of enjoying it, when the darn wand worked.
This kind of thing is right up Raven's alley.
He loves magic, wands, and swords.
We went to Mel's Diner for lunch, Badger and I did not eat at the party.
I don't know about her-but I don't particularly enjoy pizza.
Then we stopped at Walmart, I keep hoping to find the new creamer, but so far, no luck.
It was 4:30 pm when we got home, five hours after we'd left home.
Raven made it back at 5 p.m., he took the crew outside.
As long as he keeps an eye on them, running their energy off is a good thing.
The only problem is, Raven’s version of “keeping an eye” is a little loose.
Cowboy worked on his something until dark, plow, garden tiller-something.
I actually sat in the living room a while, after Cowboy came in.
Before that, Badger and I went to lay down in our own rooms.
Hey, we stood the whole party, then we climbed stairs, and went questing, and walked around Walmart.
We're couch potatoes.
After he came in, Raven headed to his room with Vier, leaving Zwei and Drei for Cowboy to watch.
Luckily, those two had their tablets and I think they may have actually been worn out.
They were unusually well-behaved.
Quiet, even.
Cowboy didn’t like it, but I had Zwei and Drei go to bed at 10:30 p.m.
I needed to make sure they didn’t fall asleep on the couch.
If they do it once, they’ll expect to do it again.
The living room is not a bedroom.
I enjoy being able to get on the computer after they’re in bed.
We like being able to take the dogs out without waking anyone up.
I think Badger appreciates not having to scrub the couches every week.
I'm heading to bed myself, like I said, I'm tired!
It's been a while since I've had to climb stairs, and been on the go continuously.
Cowboy is watching TV with his eyes shut-and I do believe that is a snore.
Now, if I were to turn the TV off, he'd snort awake, sputter he wasn't sleeping, and glare at me.
But, that man is napping.
They shared the same day, five years apart.
He would be 96 now, she 91.
Hard to believe.
He’s been gone 18 years, she 22, and it still feels like yesterday.
My mom would be 82 this October.
She’s been gone 17 years come July.
Time just flies.
Side Deck Neighbor’s house has an auction sign.
It goes up in May, sold as is.
I never thought it was in such bad shape, but Cowboy says it’ll take a lot of work.
Zillow even claims there’s no heat.
I know she cooled with a window a/c, but I never noticed in winter how she kept warm.
No plans for tomorrow-or the rest of the week.
