I wasn't shopping for a kitten, but one showed up in my yard and decided this was home

We have someone's pet.
That's the only conclusion I can come up with.
The veterinarian agreed that he's too healthy and too friendly to have been a stray.

He's not microchipped.
She checked, and no one has posted on the town Facebook page about a missing cat, so tough luck.
He's ours now.
He's officially registered with the government as No Name -our last name-.
That's his legal name.

The veterinarian says his adult teeth are just starting to come in, which puts him at roughly four months old.
She gave him a July 1 birthday.

He's a boy.
I knew he had trouble puffs.
Those are being removed around Christmas.
Merry Christmas, little fellow. We're de-trouble-puffing you!

He's a little over three pounds and, as I said, healthy.
He got all his vaccines, including his rabies shot.
No animal is coming near me unless they've had that one.
He has to stay in the she-shed until he gets his second feline leukemia shot because of Fox.
The vet said he's actually more of a danger to Fox and Lucifer than they are to him.
They're immunocompromised, and he's a strange cat.
So we'll keep him isolated for now and figure out what we're doing with him.
Badger is dead set on bringing him inside.
Cowboy and I are against it.

We've got three weeks to figure out a name for the booger, or he just stays No Name.

We came home from the veterinarian, ate dinner, and Badger and I took a nap.
She's had two naps today because she says she doesn't feel good.
I woke up at 5 a.m. again.
At least this time I knew what time I was waking up.
My body doesn't like the time change, that's all there is to it.

I have No Name fed and safely locked away.
I told Badger we needed to put some kind of barrier around him, even though he's inside the she-shed.
I'm afraid raccoons will smell his food and tear their way in.
The she-shed isn't a solid building; it's basically a screened-in patio.

Imp’s been fed also, but she’s still her own boss.
I worry when she wanders off, but she’s wild at heart and clearly not interested in being tamed.

I'm writing this at 6:15 p.m., and it's pitch black out there.
Cowboy will be heading to work soon.
I think staying on Daylight Saving Time is better for a third-shift worker.

I guess I'll work on the blog for the rest of the night.
With Badger not feeling well, I expect her to stay in her room.

Not feeling well or not, she's walking over to the school with me in the morning.
I'm casting my vote for governor and hoping Tennessee has a lick of sense and doesn't elect the Republican lady.
The Democratic candidate supports making abortion legal again in Tennessee and doing away with ICE.
She may not be the best there is, but she's better than the other one.
