My house isn't messy; it's custom designed by a 2 year old

I finally got around to cleaning the whole house.
It actually doesn’t look half bad.
I even switched the couches around in the living room.
Now I’m just hoping it keeps Badger off the bookshelf.

She climbs onto the arm of the couch and pulls every book off the shelves.
I thought switching from a flat‑arm couch to one with puffy arms might slow her down, but nope, no luck.
The little booger still climbs, wreaks havoc and destroys.

We were all worried about Badger not talking, but while we were up at Granny’s, she suddenly took off jabbering.
Complete sentences, plain, loud and clear.
I think she knew that babbling and tugging on sleeves wasn’t going to work with her Nanna and Nooner.
Either that, or she just decided to show off a little.
We still have the speech and hearing evaluation on Thursday, but I’ll tell them she can talk when she chooses to. She’s just not choosing to right now.

I guess it’s our fault.
All she has to do is grunt and tug on a sleeve or a shirt, and one of her brothers jumps up to figure out what she wants.
Cowboy and I try to make her ask, but her tantrums wear us down, and we end up giving in to the pointing and tugging.
Tantrums are brand‑new territory for us.
I can honestly say the three boys never threw a tantrum.

So anyway, it’s a relief to know she really can talk, and talk well.
She’s just stubborn and refuses to do it.
And honestly, why would she?
All the princess has to do is point or grunt, and one of her loyal subjects jumps up to get whatever she wants.
