I won’t lie, I had a few tears in my eyes as all that beautiful hair fell to the floor, but it’s such trouble to keep it washed and combed.
She pitches the unholiest of fits when you try washing and combing it, and she flat out refuses to let it be put in a ponytail or pigtails or barrettes.
It takes a lot of bribing to get her to let me put it in barrettes or a ponytail.
What?
You never bribe your child?
It’s amazing what a McChicken will accomplish.
It’s just too much trouble.
I thought we’d be able to keep it long until at least second or third grade, but she won’t allow it to be taken care of.
Having to fight her to comb out snarls and knots every day just isn’t worth it.
If she chooses to grow it long again later on when she’s old enough to take care of it herself, then she can, but for now, a cute little "Dora" bob will have to do.
It’s not boy short.
It’s still pretty girly, so Daddy isn’t too unhappy with it.
I don’t know if she’s happy with it.
She doesn’t talk much, so it’s hard to tell.
Maybe when it’s easier to wash and comb she’ll like it better.
She did really well in the stylist chair.
She didn’t put up any fuss, which surprised me, seeing how badly she hates having her hair combed and how terrified she is of my hairdryer.
She didn’t even blink at the stylist combing and drying it.
The stylist did insist on asking her questions, and I kept having to tell her that Badger is super shy and doesn't talk.
We're OK with people talking to Badger, but when you're told that she doesn't talk, don't keep insisting that she answer your questions.
You really make her very uncomfortable.
