Cowboy and Badger were still asleep.
I was already up, since Heron had come by at 8:40 to get ready and let me know he was heading to his girlfriend’s overnight.
Raven said he’d bought a new car and needed his dad to ride with him to M. to pick up his old van.
They set out, Cowboy grumbling the whole way.
By the time he finally got up, took his meds, and ate breakfast, it was already 11:30 when they pulled out.
Cowboy got home at 1 p.m.
After feeding the chickens and getting the eggs ready for the plant, it was already time for him to eat and head to work.
Raven arrived home at 4:30 p.m. and went straight to bed.
I assumed he had been awake since going to work Sunday night.
We received a letter from our dentist stating they no longer accept our insurance.
They will continue to see her as a patient, but we must pay out of pocket, and they will submit a bill to the insurance company, which may reimburse us.
Given the cost, this is not a feasible option.
I contacted another dentist located on the highway.
We had used their practice previously, but after the father retired, his two sons took over, and scheduling became nearly impossible.
In desperation, I called again, but the office does not answer the phone.
Messages can be left, though responses are uncertain.
Tomorrow I will continue searching. I prefer not to go to K, and there are no dentists left in JC.
That leaves M.
I received a message from my doctor instructing me to reschedule my appointment.
Last week, Cowboy’s appointment was also rescheduled, and I anticipate Badger’s will be as well.
Although we attend the same practice, which employs numerous physicians, we each see different doctors.
It is unusual for both of us to have our appointments changed, particularly since they were scheduled last year.
She’s hoping her dad can fix it, but I doubt it.
She’s still having fun with the new camera, though, and the pictures are amazing.
She and I even managed a decent walk.
It’s been a while since we did that.
It felt good outside, and I took off one of my layers.
We got home at 7 p.m., and I liked not coming in after dark.
I stood by the mailboxes for a while, talking with Blue House Neighbor, who lost her husband in February 2024.
She seemed a little lonely.
I don’t usually like being sociable, but I can when I need to.
We came in, ate supper, watched TV, and Badger went to her room.
Alright, time to get off here.
We’re supposed to go to town tomorrow, since Badger’s out of her Adderall.
CVS has been short on stock, so we’ve been waiting on the refill.
They cut it close-today was her last pill-but it’s finally ready.
I don’t know if we’ll actually make the trip tomorrow, though.
