This weather is snow joke!

 What is there to say?
We still have snow and it’s cold.

After Cowboy went to work, Badger and I tried to take a little walk around the block.
It’s the weirdest thing.
There are sections of our road all clear, and then there are sections that are still as icy as owl hooey, as my granny always said.
Needless to say, we did not take a walk around the block.
We went up the hill, hit ice, turned around, and slowly inched our way down the hill and made it to the house formerly known as the green house.
Badger got distracted by deer tracks in the snow, and the next thing I know she’s knee‑deep in the snow following tracks down the farmer’s field.
OK, maybe I exaggerate the knee‑deep bit, but just barely.
She is pretty short.

Other than that little bit of outside time, it was mostly a stay‑inside, watch‑TV, read‑a‑book, play‑on‑the‑computer, try‑not‑to‑shiver type of day.

Well, there was one bit of “are you kidding me?!”
The exterminator called saying he was at my house ready to treat the outside.
I told him there was snow out there and I wasn’t sure he could even see my foundation.
“Oh, I’ve already done three houses this morning. It’ll be fine.”
Well, OK, if you say so.
So he was probably up here thirty minutes or more.
He took his little mop, or whatever he uses, and swept the cobwebs down.
Then he sprayed around the foundation, which, if you ask me, was still too snowy for much good.
Finally, he sprinkled the pellets around, and again, I’m not sure what good that did.
He was treating ants, spiders, and earwigs today.
I told Cowboy I was fairly sure no decent ant was out marching two by two in this kind of weather.

Now I’m heading to bed.
I try to keep the house at 70 degrees.
It sounds warm, but in reality, it still feels freezing.
