At what size does a spider stop being an arachnid and become a rodent?

I have a strong phobia of spiders.

We've had an enormous writing spider in our living room window for a couple of days now.

Today, Cowboy said we needed to open the storm window all the way up, so she wouldn't starve to death.

Peacock had raised the storm window just a crack, and she'd crept inside, but couldn't creep back out.

Who does he send?

 Me.

Well, I was doing good while Charlotte swung quietly in her corner, but then she decided to be curious and swung towards my hand.

I screamed loud enough to perk up the neighbor's dog's ears and slammed the storm window down.

I ran into the house and told Cowboy, either he released Charlotte or she'd just have to starve.

He gave me this look and said: “Well, I don't like spiders either, you know.”

But he decided to free Charlotte anyway.

He slowly climbed up on the couch, looked up, looked down and did not see Charlotte, she had managed to squeeze herself into a tiny, little crack at the top of the window.

He quickly yanked the window up and nosy Charlotte swung down and towards his hand, so he slammed that window shut and ran back to his chair.

I was trying my best not to laugh my butt off at him.

Charlotte is now lost somewhere in the flower bed, I'm fairly certain he didn't crush her with the window.

With any luck, she won't starve to death.
