These cold mornings, I am in no hurry to crawl out of my toasty bed into a cold house.
If it wasn’t for my hip throbbing, I’d stay in bed all day.
Unfortunately, my darn hip likes to throb.
The house was already clean, so other than taking Duffy out and feeding my strays, I worked on my blog all morning.
It’s my project.
Cowboy and Badger didn’t wake up until 10:30 in the morning.
They probably would’ve slept longer, but I needed something from the bedroom and Lady slipped in the door.
She went over and nosed Cowboy’s side, then stuck her cold nose in Badger’s face.
That was quite a wake-up call.
The day went by fast enough.
After Cowboy and Heron went to work, Badger and I took a very quick, cold walk around the block. We came home, she stayed in her room all evening, and I’ve been on the computer.
Life is pretty boring around here.
Tomorrow will be clean-up day for Turk-Birthday on Sunday.
I don't know what to do about the urine smell.
I mean, Fox has urinated on everything in the house.
Male cats have very strong smelling urine.
I can wash the curtains, and yes, he's urinated on them, and my couch covers, but he's also urinated on the walls and the floor, and there is very little he hasn't urinated on.
He's even urinated on my desktop monitor.
The vet told us that with his leukemia, he could not be neutered.
We've been just dealing with the howling and the attempting to mate.
But then he started just spraying the entire blasted house, and I'm sorry if he does not survive surgery or he has a shortened life, but holy cow! My house stinks!!
I tried to find this product literally called Pee Out, but Walmart no longer carries it, and it takes too long for it to get here from Amazon.
I can use Lysol and Febreze and try to mask the odor until the product gets back in stock.
Until he’s neutered, though, nothing will help.
He goes December 14th or somewhere around there.
Hopefully he will stop, but I’ve heard once they start spraying, they will continue even with neutering.
As it is right now, Raven may come down, but SK is going to stay home with a sick Drei. Eins and Zwei may or may not come with Raven.
Peacock and Gealach will be up, but Peacock’s wife broke her toe or her foot, and he says she’s in a cast and not very mobile, so she’s staying home.
We’ll probably get Heron.
He’s in my backyard, and worse comes to worst I’ll go down and drag him out.
But E isn’t coming.
It’s just going to be a huge waste of time.
No one really eats.
Badger had the smart idea to pre-cook as much as possible tomorrow.
I’m all for it, so tomorrow night we’ll cook most of the meal and put it in the fridge.
That way we won’t be frazzled on Sunday.
We weren’t planning on going out tomorrow.
There is way too much to do to be running the roads.
But Cowboy needs a new pair of work boots, so we’re going to Morristown.
If we’re lucky, we can get him out of bed and on the road before 3 pm, get it done, and get home so us women can clean and cook.
If he goes too late and stays too long, there won’t be much cooking and cleaning done.
I lose energy very fast.
I’m going to head back to my warm bed and my cooking shows.
Just because I hate cooking doesn’t mean I don’t like watching cooking shows.
"The melancholy days are come, the saddest of the year,
Of wailing winds, and naked woods, and meadows brown and sear."
- William Cullen Bryant
