I went to the walk-in clinic.
I sat for an hour and a half in the waiting room, trying my best not to breathe near the two babies that were there, and then I waited another twenty minutes in the exam room.
I had the same nurse that Badger saw, and she remembered me.
I tested negative for the flu and negative on the rapid COVID-19 test, but she said it may have been too early to test me, so she sent out the PCR test.
That came in today and was also negative.
She sent me home with an antibiotic, an inhaler, and cough medicine.
I came home and slept Saturday and Sunday.
I did not move.
I just slept.
To be honest, it strongly reminded me of when I had COVID-19 in January.
I had a headache so bad it literally made me cry.
That finally stopped today.
My entire body throbbed, everything hurt, my gums even hurt.
When I had COVID-19 in January, I still had teeth, and it made my teeth throb.
Well, I have no teeth now, but my dang gums throbbed.
I had a horrible sore throat that stopped somewhat after I started the antibiotic and Cowboy shoved a Coricidin at me.
I still have a nasty cough, and my nose is running like a sugar tree, but I am better.
I'm weak as a kitten, and my head is a bit off, but I'm awake.
I was tested four days after Badger's positive test.
I did a home test six days after Badger's test, and it didn't even take a minute to pop up positive.
It was just too early for their test to catch it.
Cowboy still has his nasty cough.
I don’t think he’ll ever get rid of it.
He may have brought COVID-19 home, but I’m a little iffy that he had it.
Badger is almost back to normal, although she says her legs feel wonky.
If she’s like me, the best I could describe it is like the insides of my legs were full of boiling water that kept bubbling.
Hey, it was hard to describe.
She also still has that cough.
I think we may all be stuck with that.
I’m not 100%, and the Coricidin does not help.
Cowboy gets wacky dreams on the stuff.
I don’t think I do.
It just leaves me feeling off.
I’m wobbling back to bed.
