Blow, blow, thou winter wind

We did make it to the Morristown Walmart this morning, despite Cowboy’s grumbling.
We were pretty much in and out there.
With the way we eat now, it doesn’t take that long to buy groceries.
We stopped in Jefferson City for gas and chicken feed, and while Cowboy was buying chicken feed, Badger and I ran into the Goodwill.

I found two, well Badger calls them hippie witch capes, but they’re more like flowy sweaters.
I also found two pairs of nearly new sneakers.
One is a Skechers walking shoe, and that was a great find.

We were home just before 1 p.m. today.
Badger quickly threw a frozen lasagna in the oven, and we got the groceries carried in and put away.

The lasagna didn’t get thoroughly cooked before Cowboy had to go to work.
It was half cooked and half raw.
Cowboy ended up having to make himself a sandwich.
That was ok, he’s not really thrilled about lasagna fresh or frozen.
Badger put it in the microwave and finally got it to cook.
We had a late dinner and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it.

After Cowboy went to work, Badger and I took our daily walk.
We walked a little over 2 miles.
It was an amazing day to walk, really warm.
I shucked off my coat halfway through the walk, but the wind was crazy.
There were times when it felt like a pair of hands shoving you in the back.
I was glad to get home and settle down.

Heron went to work early.
He left four loads of laundry, which I finished up for him.
I had about four loads of my own laundry I wanted done.
I got his finished up and two loads of my own.
I’ll tackle the rest tomorrow, maybe.

Heron’s RV walls mold or mildew, something like that.
So he’s had to throw away a large portion of his clothes, and he has to wash what he managed to salvage.
That’s why he has so much laundry.

One year ago today, Badger and I had our first bout of Covid-19.
Odd little anniversary to remember, but it changed our lives.
We’re still dealing with the aftereffects of it.

The rest of the evening was spent watching TV.
I’m still on that French Canadian detective series.
