"Raw, honest, and unlikable—that’s both me and my blog in a nutshell."

It’s 10 p.m., and the house is surprisingly quiet.
Raven got here around 5 p.m. with the kids and took them straight to his room.
He hasn’t come back out since, and the kids have barely made a sound either, which honestly feels a little unusual.

I’m guessing Raven got mad when I told him to do his laundry before he brought the kids down. I didn’t want my cats getting loose and the kids hurting them, scaring them, or letting them outside.

He did the laundry, brought the kids in, and stayed in his room.

He may also be mad because I told him the kids sleep in his room.
I don’t care how he manages it.
I like my living room not being a bedroom.

Our house isn’t like most.
Some people walk into a hallway and the living room is off to the side or even behind a door.
In our house, you walk right in the front door and you’re standing in the living room.
There’s no hallway or separate entry space.
To get to the kitchen or bathroom, you have to go right through it, and it’s the same coming in or going out.

So when the kids sleep on the couches out there, they get woken up every time someone has to pass through.

Speaking of the bathroom, one of those boys, I'm betting it was Eins, put soap in my toilet.
It just keeps bubbling and bubbling.
With a septic system, I have no idea what all that soap will do.
They also wasted a pretty good amount of toilet paper while they were at it.

But Cowboy told Badger and me to keep our mouths shut, so if he ends up having to pay to fix the septic system, I’m absolutely going to remind him he was the one who told us to shut up.

We’ll have another summer with Raven and his kids here.
Raven just can’t afford to move out.
Cowboy doesn’t want to lose the kids again, so he’ll put up with anything to keep them.
I feel like my feelings don’t really matter.

It’s been rainy with storms coming and going, so it was a stay-inside kind of day.

Once Raven and his kids got here, the dogs and I settled in my bedroom and watched a long house-hunting marathon on TV.

It wasn’t a blog-worthy day, but most of them aren’t.

Cowboy doesn’t work tomorrow.
I figured he wouldn’t.

We’re supposed to go to McKay’s tomorrow, and I’m hoping the free bin is actually stuffed for once.

I need to head to bed, but I’ve seen enough of that bedroom today.
I’m enjoying the living room while I can.
