Food truck feasting: it's nacho average meal

Cowboy didn’t get home from work until 3:47 a.m.
He had some coffee and a snack, and it was after 4 by the time he went to bed.
Badger and I had already planned to walk back over to the yard sale, so that worked out fine and kept the house quiet while he slept.

We were out the door at 9 and didn’t get back until a little after 9:35.
They said they were bringing in new merchandise today, but they didn’t.
It was mostly a wasted walk, though Badger did find a bag of craft paints.

When we got home, Badger went to her room and I sat at my computer and stayed quiet.

Cowboy didn’t wake up until 11.
We got in the car and went back to the school for lunch.
They had a new food truck Badger wanted to try.
My iced coffee was great.
The food tasted fine, but the portions were off.
I had a Frito Pie with maybe a teaspoon of meat under a pile of Fritos.
Cowboy got a pulled pork sandwich that was mostly bread with hardly any BBQ.
I won’t be trying that food truck again.

Cowboy went back to sleep in his recliner until 3.
Badger stayed in her room, and I was on the computer.

At 3 p.m., Cowboy fed his chickens and decided to go see Uno.
It had been five years since they’d spent time together.
Things had kept them apart, but it was good for him to finally visit.

He didn’t get home until 6:30 and said it was nice to see him.
I’m glad he went.

Uno is the oldest sibling, and Dos is next oldest.

Right after Cowboy left, a heavy rain shower came through.
For a minute I thought the day might turn rainy.
My grass is crunchy, but the rain didn’t stick around.

While he was gone, I read a bit in the she‑shed and played on the computer.
Badger was in her room.
That’s pretty much how the rest of the evening went, except for Cowboy coming home and heading out to work in the backyard.

We’re ending the day with Cowboy grumbling there’s nothing to watch on TV and playing his Facebook videos.
Badger hardly leaves her room.
I’m going to type this up and head to my room.
I’ve got a book by Hillary Clinton and Louise Penny.
I know I’ve read it before, but it’s not ringing a bell.
