In July, ice cream becomes therapy and air conditioning becomes religion

There really isn't much one can say that hasn't already been said a million times.

Cowboy always goes to morning and evening church services, unless it's been called off, they're having VBS, or there's a special service of some sort.

Then he'll come home and nap until it's time to go back to church.

As Badger and I cannot drive, we're stuck at home.

The majority of the time she’ll stay in her room doing whatever.

I’ll alternate between the she-shed, playing on the computer, or reading or watching TV in my room.

Now, today, Peacock popped up.
He's been sending books to our house, and he needed to pick them up.
He also brought us some squash soup.
Um, not going to say anything about that.
He stayed a good long while; it's always good to see my first baby.
Unlike the other three kids, it's not often we get to see Peacock.

After he left, we braved the heat and headed to East Town Walmart. I needed a ring snuggie. I probably could have gone with a size 7 1/2, but I panicked when I couldn’t get it off. The size 8 fits, but it spins on my finger, and I was worried about losing them. The snuggie helps keep them snug, but I must have done something wrong because they’re still turning.

We came home and did the usual.
Nothing new to write about.
It’s the same old thing around here.
Not much ever changes.

Of course, right now, it’s pretty doggone hot out there.
I think it was like 95° today, with a feels like of even higher.
I need to go back, just to satisfy my curiosity, and see what the temperature was last year.
But it’s so miserable out, it’s just better inside with the air conditioner going full blast.

I’m heading off to watch my big bustles show, and I really need to get that library book read.
