Until We Meet Again At The Rainbow Bridge

We brought Chaos Lupine home in August 2020. He was born in June, and he started life with a very dignified name.

That dignity didn't last long.

Somewhere along the way, he developed permanent gas, so Chaos Windpaw became Skunk-Ape, and eventually, simply Skunk.

Skunk was never just a cat. He was very dog-like. Daughter taught him tricks, including standing up for treats and riding on her shoulders. He loved being carried around like a baby in your arms, and he was happiest being right in the middle of whatever was going on.

He did have his quirks. Skunk was terribly food aggressive. He would growl, grab his food, and carry it off somewhere to hide and eat. He never meowed like a normal cat either. He squeaked. That was just one of the many things that made him Skunk.

He was the only cat Husband ever really liked. They had their own special relationship and shared meals together all the time. If Husband couldn't find him, he would ask us where "that grey thing" was.

But Skunk was Daughter's baby from the very beginning. They slept together, ate together, and spent their days together. He wasn't just her cat; he was her companion.

Skunk was part of our lives for six years. He filled our home with his squeaks, his personality, his stubbornness, and all of the little things that made him who he was.

The house will never be the same without him.
