Shhh I'm Watching My Murder Shows

Today was Badger’s appointment for allergy testing.
The good news is that she has no allergies, maybe a tiny allergy to dust mites, but basically none.
The doctor said she was shocked she isn’t allergic to pollen.
With her frequent sinus infections, and it being worse in the fall and winter, she thought she’d surely be allergic, but she’s not.
So that leaves us trying to find out why she keeps getting frequent sinus infections.

The allergy doctor said that she may not be, and I want to say clearing out her sinuses, but I can't exactly remember what she said.
She said to try Zyrtec and Nasonex, and if she gets any more sinus infections, then we'll schedule an appointment in December to X-ray her sinuses and see what is going on.

Badger wasn’t all that thrilled with the testing.
She accused me of saying it wouldn’t hurt and letting them stab her a million times.
Apparently, it hurts.
I’ve never been tested, so how would I know?
When Peacock was tested, they only tested on his back, and he lit up like a Christmas tree.
He was allergic to everything except animals and latex.
I had no idea they would test her on both her arm and her back.
The arm test was very similar to a TB test.
I don’t remember ever having that done, either, so I couldn’t really tell her how it would feel.
I tried to prepare her as well as I could.
We watched a couple of videos on YouTube.

I had to give her a dose of Zyrtec when we got home.
She was itching, and the spot where they make sure the test is working was still really swollen and red.

We are on the hunt for Raven a car.
We’ve not had any luck so far.
We only have a small amount of money, and it has to be road ready, so that is limiting us.
Cowboy did a test drive of one Raven really, really wanted today.
The man said it had nothing wrong.
He owned a body shop, and he had worked on that car.
Ha!
Cowboy took it out, and the check engine light stayed on, and it had absolutely no brakes.
Raven was disappointed, but he and Cowboy have an appointment Saturday to check out a car somewhere in Sevier County.
It’s another one of those that supposedly has nothing wrong with it.
Let me just tell you, when you only have $1000.00 to buy a car, it’s like finding a needle in a haystack.
It absolutely has to be road ready because the money isn’t there to repair it, and Cowboy just doesn’t feel like rebuilding a car these days.

This has been one of those do-nothing days.
Badger still isn't feeling so good, and she has shared the germs with mamma.
Add to that getting up before the chickens this morning, we're just drooping.
We had an all day/evening murder marathon.
Badger said that is not how most families spend quality time together, but it works.
From “Swamp Murders” to “Deadly Women” we've pretty much covered them all today.

Raven is content to stay on my computer with his manga, or however it’s spelled, Japanese cartoons anyway.
Not kiddie cartoons, definitely not kiddie cartoons.

We've got one more day this week to get through, and there isn't any school until next Thursday.
I'm hoping that we can get our pep back.
It seems like as soon as school starts up, it's one case of strep or sinus infection after the other until school gets out in May.
Of course, if Badger is contagious, she spreads the germs to the rest of us, so we all stay sick all winter long.
I look forward to the spring, not for the warm weather, but for starting to feel healthy again.

I've got to get off of here and let Raven back on.
He has Badger's computer, but he says that it runs too slowly and the internet keeps cutting out.
I had Peacock take a look at it the last time he was up, and he fiddled with it and got it back to running smoothly again.
I think Raven just likes my newer computer.

I may end up stealing hers if I can ever figure out how to work it.
It's like a Windows 8, and I've completely forgotten how to navigate the thing.
I've gotten so used to Windows 10.
Things my computer has, hers is in the totally opposite place or missing altogether.
Facebook and the library I can do on my phone or the Kindle, but I haven't figured out how to blog on them.
I'm sure there is a way to, I've just not discovered it yet.
