My idea of a “good morning” is one I sleep through

Cowboy and Heron were out the door by 8:30 a.m.
Cowboy wasn’t too happy when he realized they weren’t going where he thought they would.
I’m not sure where they ended up, but he was back by 9:30 a.m., and by 9:34 a.m. we were on our way to town.

We pulled in our driveway at 11:50 a.m., surprisingly early for us.
We skipped food, skipped coffee, and just hurried through Walmart, Walgreens, Tractor Supply, and Goodwill before heading home.

We got the groceries inside, and Badger and I put them away while Cowboy gathered eggs and fed his chickens.
By 1 p.m. Cowboy was happily snoring away in his recliner.
Since Badger had put dinner in the crockpot before we left, when he woke up he had a really good dinner waiting on him instead of the greasy fast food burger that’s usual for Thursdays.

Cowboy headed off to work at the usual time, and Badger and I headed to the living room.
We watched TV while she worked on another walking stick.
She managed to carve an eagle into it without losing a finger or drawing blood.
She worked on that until she cleaned up her mess and headed to the bathroom to shower at 9 p.m.
It was a quiet evening.

Heron got home at 9:30 p.m.
He didn’t head back to his RV until after 10:30 p.m.
Badger had already headed to bed, but I sat up with him.
He never says it, but I think he likes a little company.

Tomorrow’s going to be another early start.
The exterminator is supposed to come, though I haven’t heard from them.
We won’t move everything out, just enough so he can get to the traps.

I’m heading to bed.
