I started hurting on Saturday.
I assumed that I had food poisoning.
It was just really terrible cramps and nausea.
Saturday night I was in so much pain, all I could do was curl up in a ball and cry.
Luckily, Peacock had taken Gealach home at 8 pm because I had a very bad night and didn’t feel up to a lot of noise.
Sunday, yesterday, my stomach was in knots, and I couldn’t even walk for the pain.
I had thrown up until I couldn’t throw up anymore, and I was still nauseous.
I was just hurting and, honestly, felt like dying.
I’ve given birth three times naturally, and this was even worse than that.
Cowboy finally convinced me to go to the emergency room at 5 pm.
He had been trying to get me to go in since Saturday night, but I thought I could just tough it out at home.
I managed to walk down the parking garage to the elevator and then what felt like miles to the ER, but it hurt every single step I took.
They triaged me and sent me to the waiting room until 6:30 pm.
I was taken back to a room, and then we sat some more until 8 pm, when they gave me a CAT scan.
At 9 pm, someone finally came in and told me I had acute appendicitis, and then things sped up a bit.
At 10 pm, I went into surgery.
They sent me home at 1 this morning.
It hurts to breathe, walk, stand, or lie down, and I ended up with gas in my shoulder, so that’s giving me a fit, but I’m still alive and kicking.
This summer is going down as one heck of a summer.
