Listen to the whisper of the wind, it tells tales ☁️🌬️

Cowboy didn’t come to bed until 2:15 a.m., which didn’t surprise me since his body still runs on his work schedule.
He didn’t get up until 11:15 a.m.
With him heading back to work tonight, I just let him sleep.

Badger was awake and in the living room just before 7 a.m.
That was a bit odd for her.
By the time I woke up at 8 a.m., she had breakfast warming in the oven and dinner pre-prepped ready to pop in the fridge to heat up later.

The weather was strange when I woke up.
It was already sixty degrees, and the wind was howling.
It hasn’t stopped blowing all day.

After Cowboy came into the living room, I went to the bedroom to lie back down.
I've had a terrible earache since Sunday.
I spent the morning curled up in my blankets reading.
I checked the camera a time or two, and Cowboy was napping again.
He won't admit it, but I think Monday's procedure left him more tired than he’s letting on.

Badger was in her room.

Right before dinner, Badger and I took a short walk to the Senior Citizen Center to stretch our legs. Breakfast was still sitting a bit heavy in my stomach.

The day moved on.
We ate dinner and Cowboy headed to work.
I went to my bedroom, laid down, and fell asleep.
Raven and Badger were in their rooms.
It was warm but way too windy out, so why not nap.

After I woke up, Badger and I headed to the living room.
We watched TV most of the evening.
Around 7:30 pm Badger decided she wanted to go out and take pictures of the street lights.
We walked up to the donkey house.
We're already hearing frogs peeping, but once you get to his house the sound becomes three times louder.
We're wondering if he has a pond or something, or maybe he has a sound system with screaming frogs to disguise his dogs barking.
He has a huge fence so you can't see into his yard.
It's just really odd how loud and how many frogs it sounds like are croaking from his yard.
We had planned on going the full circle, but at the pitbull house the man had the pitbull out on his leash.
He can't control that dog.
It saw us and started snarling and growling and lunging toward us.
The man kept yelling at it and trying to tug it to him, and he wasn't succeeding very well.
We turned around and made a very fast retreat back toward our house.
We ended up just walking to the Senior Citizen Center and turning back around to home.
I say the donkey house has to have some kind of ambient noise because the frogs in the farmer's field aren't even that numerous or that loud.
It's just a little mystery.

We came home and watched a little more TV.
Badger went to bed, and it's getting close to 11:30 pm.
I should head to bed too, but after that nap I'm not really sleepy.
I might go finish the book I've been reading.

Tomorrow should be town day, but Cowboy has to take the car in.
It depends on how long that takes.
We may end up going Friday instead.

I asked Raven to keep his kids at their mom’s this weekend.
Cowboy is private, so I don’t know if he’s still having side effects from the biopsy or not.
He doesn’t seem to be bouncing back very quickly, and working the next three days won’t help.
His job is physical, not sit‑down.
If the kids stay home, we’ll insist on Cowboy resting all weekend.

Monday he goes to see if he has diabetes.
Fingers crossed that’s negative, though with his dad and most of his siblings being diabetic, I’m a little anxious.

Anyway, time to shut down the computer and head to the bedroom.
