Cowboy was awake and gone by 8:15 a.m. to take the car to be checked.
I don’t know what exactly they looked at on it, but he was back by 9:30.
Badger had cleaned the litter boxes and was heading for a shower, so we told her to make it a quick one and we’d go get our groceries in.
She did, and we did, even though we had no menu planned and no grocery list.
We did the best we could.
Worst comes to worst, if we forgot something important, Cowboy has a doctor appointment in Powell on Monday.
We can go with him and stop somewhere.
We got the groceries unloaded, including two 40-pound boxes of cat litter and the giant pack of water.
I know he’s probably lifting at work and has been cleared to lift, but I hate to see Cowboy bring those into the house.
I worry about him lifting and tugging.
Badger put them in the cart and then in the trunk, but she wasn’t fast enough to get them into the house before he grabbed them.
While Badger and I put away the groceries, Cowboy went down to feed the chickens and gather eggs.
That was a nasty job because it had rained all morning and our backyard was muddy.
He came back in, we ate dinner, and then he and Badger took a nap.
I had my Thursday show to watch, so I went in my bedroom to watch it.
Time for Cowboy to head to work came around pretty fast.
Badger woke up, and we took a walk down to the library and back home.
You can still hear the donkey house frogs chirping loud over at the church.
His backyard backs up to the church parking lot.
I’m starting to think he really does have some kind of ambient music on.
Maybe it soothes the donkey and the dogs.
His house was the only one you could hear frogs coming from.
It’s just a little weird to take a walk and get assaulted by very, very loud frog chirps.
We came home and opened the window and the door, and I took my sweatshirt off.
It hit the 70s today, so the house was hot when we got back, and so was I.
Badger headed to her room, and I settled in at the computer.
I had medicine refills to request, bills to pay, and I keep checking Cowboy's patient portal hoping the biopsy report shows up.
They said it might take a week or two, and he doesn't go back until the first of March to hear what the doctor says.
One can hope, though.
Eventually Badger wandered back into the living room, and we watched a little TV.
She headed to bed before 10:30 p.m.
I probably should be heading to bed too.
It’s getting close to 11:30 p.m., but I want to finish what I’m doing online first.
No plans for tomorrow.
If the warm weather holds, I might see if Badger wants to go sit at the creek for a bit.
We’ll see what happens with Raven and his kids, and that’ll shape what we do this weekend.
I want Cowboy to rest, but as Badger says, he really doesn’t know how to rest.
If he feels good and he’s had enough sleep, he’ll push himself to work work work.
I’ll end here, get back to what I was doing, and then call it a night.
