This was a very rainy Sunday. It hasn't let up all day.
It was almost 2 p.m. before Raven took the kids home today.
Raven stayed in his room all morning.
Cowboy went to morning services.
I turned on “Moana” and “Moana II,” and oh my word, it was like those kids were hypnotized.
I didn’t hear a peep out of them.
Occasionally, Vier would shout, “Monster.”
She’s worried about monsters under the bed right now, so I just told her it’s all make-believe and there aren’t any.
Not long after they left, Cowboy suddenly decided he wanted to go to Walmart.
Badger was in the middle of cleaning up, but I needed nonflavored coffee, so I headed to the car.
I think Cowboy wanted discounted Valentine’s candy, but once he got there it just didn’t appeal to him.
I’m the same way now.
Doughnuts will smell like heaven, look good, and I think maybe I’ll want one… but then it’s nah, not really.
We had one heart-stopping moment on the way up.
A big truck drifted into our lane and almost took off the driver’s side mirror.
Cowboy jerked the wheel and had to get off the side of the road to miss it.
And Cowboy wonders why my anxiety goes through the roof every time I get in a car.
We made it home with no trouble.
Badger had cleaned the house top to bottom while we were gone, even got the upholstery cleaner out on the couches.
She likes to tell us we should be glad her brain works differently and that we get the benefit of it.
There isn't very much to say about the rest of the evening.
Cowboy went to evening church services then curled up in his recliner to watch TV.
Badger has stayed in her room.
I'm playing on the computer right now but I'm heading to bed soon.
Tomorrow is Cowboy’s procedure. Peacock had said he’d taken the day off and would come up to take Cowboy but then the office changed the time Cowboy has to be there and now Peacock is iffy. I’ve told Raven to be on standby just in case. I’m not looking forward to the drive and I know Cowboy isn’t looking forward to the procedure.
OK, let’s head on to bed.
