Keep calm and get soaked

This was a very rainy Sunday.
It hasn't let up all day.

It was almost 2 pm before Raven took the kids home today.

Raven stayed in his room all morning.
Cowboy went to morning services.
I turned on “Moana” and “Moana 2,” and oh my word, it was like those kids were hypnotized.
I didn’t hear a peep out of them.
Occasionally, Vier would shout “monster.”
Right now, she’s worried about monsters under the bed, so I reassured her that it’s all make-believe and there are no monsters.

Not long after they left, Cowboy suddenly decided he wanted to go to Walmart.
Badger was in the middle of cleaning up, but I needed non-flavored coffee, so I headed to the car.
I think Cowboy wanted discounted Valentine's candy, but once he got there it just didn't appeal to him.
I'm the same way now.
I guess it's an age thing.
Doughnuts will smell like heaven, look good, and I think maybe I'll want one, but then it's nah man, not really.

We had one heart-stopping moment on the way up.
A large truck drifted into our lane and nearly clipped the driver-side mirror.
Somehow, Cowboy’s reflexes kicked in, and he had to steer off the side of the road to avoid it.
And Cowboy wonders why my anxiety kicks in every time I get in a car.

We made it home with no trouble.
Badger had thoroughly cleaned the house while we were gone, including taking the upholstery cleaner to the couches.
She likes to say we benefit from her being wired the way she is.

There isn't very much to say about the rest of the evening.
Cowboy went to evening church services, then curled up in his recliner to watch TV.
Badger has stayed in her room.
I'm playing on the computer right now, but I'm heading to bed soon.

 Tomorrow is Cowboy’s procedure.
Peacock had said he’d taken the day off and would come up to take Cowboy, but then the office changed the time Cowboy has to be there, and now Peacock is iffy.
I’ve told Raven to be on standby just in case.
I’m not looking forward to the drive, and I know Cowboy isn’t looking forward to the procedure.

Ok, let’s head on to bed.
