My air conditioner has become my best friend. ❄️👫

What a way to see June go out, and July come in.

We're under a heat advisory until Thursday.

I stepped outside to feed Imp at 7:30 am.
The temperature was only in the high 70s, but it felt like an oven already.

Badger took the dogs out to potty, and said nope.

She and I haven't left the house all day.

We've found ways to stay busy inside.

I know she cleaned the laundry room.
I cleaned my bedroom.

We moved the things out of my bedroom, where we hid them for the weekend, back to the living room.

We watched a lot of TV, read some, and edited pictures.

What we didn't do was go outside.

Cowboy, after he woke up, went outside to strip copper.
He's never been one to really mind the heat.

Then he came inside, ate supper, and took a little nap before work.

Heron came back from his girlfriend's house.
Badger and I sent him a text telling him that his RV and the temperature outside were about to match.

He'd turned the power off to the RV on Sunday, and we couldn't turn on the air for the cats.

Then he flitted in and out all day.

Today was a nothing day, and I suspect the rest of the week may be nothing days if they feel like today did.

We made it up to 93°, but the “feels like” was 104°.

Inside with the air conditioning is the only way to go.

It's been overly hot and humid here, too. I'm not doing anything. Mark is taking care of the horses. He tolerates this slightly better than I do. I know it does no good to whine about it but I do miss our once normal summer.

Sandra: It really does sound rough there. I don’t blame you for not doing much — heat like this just shuts a person down. I’m glad Mark’s taking care of the horses, because that’s too much in this kind of weather. And you’re right, it’s hard not to miss the summers we used to have. This stretch has been tough on everybody.
