A Reminder That Life Can Change in a Second

We had some excitement yesterday.

We bought the boys airsoft rifles for Christmas.

They shoot soft, plastic BBs.

A shy child is not a child with nothing to say, but one still deciding when it is safe to speak

Mrs. O was at school today.

Progress reports were handed out, and she said that Badger still isn't talking.

Her report has all “Will not tell me” on it.

She said that she knows Badger knows these things, but she just won't talk.

"First haircut for my little princess's: growing up so fast ✂️👧💖"

We took Badger to Great Clips and gave her her first major haircut today.

Cowboy was not happy about it, but she pitches a horrible fit when I try washing and combing it, and it takes a lot of bribing to get her to let me put it in barrettes or a ponytail.

I'm not going to lie, I about cried when I saw all that gorgeous hair fall to the floor.

My toddler has two moods: sweet angel and raccoon on espresso

I finally got around to cleaning the whole house.

It doesn't look half bad.

I even switched the couches around in the living room.

I was hoping to keep Badger off the bookshelf.

"In a little girl's eyes, mom is the safest place to be."

When the boys were little, they were just crazy about television.

If I let them, they would sit all day glued to the TV set.

Naturally, I didn't let them veg out very much unless I had something that needed doing and I couldn't have them running loose outside or inside under my feet.

PICTURE POLICY

I’m careful about sharing photos of my grandchildren.
When I do, they’re cropped or edited to protect their privacy.
They’re not my children, and their stories aren’t mine to tell.

CLICK AND READ BEFORE ENTERING

Well, here you are.
Come on in.
Grab a seat.
We’ve got a lot to talk about.

This is where I ramble about my world, family, day-to-day life, and whatever else happens to be going on in our little Tennessee town.

Most days I’m just sitting here with a cup of coffee, writing whatever comes to mind.
Just whatever pops into my head at the time.

Nothing special, just the little things that make up my world.
Messy, honest, and mine.
