Just Sunday things

Even though she still wasn’t feeling well, Badger couldn’t leave that rooster half-done.
Once she starts something, she gets that fixed-in kind of focus that comes with her autism, and there’s just no pulling her away from it.

She went outside when Cowboy left for morning service and was still out there when he got back.

She worked on it all morning, right up until about one in the afternoon, finishing the painting.
I kept telling her not to get caught up in perfection, just give it one coat and call it done.

She had to tape and paper everything off perfectly, and yes, it turned out amazing, but she needed to rest, not be a Monet.

If the painting wasn’t bad enough, in between letting coats dry she went and pulled up all the tall grass and weeds around the rooster.
Next thing I know, she’s down at the end of the house putting up fencing around my lilac bushes and trying to tie that drooping lilac up so it’ll stand straight.

She finally finished, came in, took a shower, ate some lunch, and she and I stayed in my room watching “The X-Files” until she took a nap.

I sneaked into the living room and got on my computer.

Cowboy napped until about 3 pm, then went out to take care of the chickens.
I think he may have also started planting things in the garden, not sure on that though.

Other than Cowboy going to evening service, the rest of the evening has been the same.
Just sitting around, watching TV, taking it easy.

Jeanette: Thanks. 😊 I’ll let my daughter know you think so.
