Spring has sprung, maybe, possibly.
Badger said I wore her out today.
We both were up early, and it was incredibly warm for 10 a.m., so we decided to just take a little walk around the block.
Neither of us wanted to get bitten by a dog at that hour of the day, so we said, “let's just go around the church parking lot.”
We get to the sidewalk in front of the church, and I tell Badger, “you'll find more birds in the cemetery.”
She'd brought her camera with her and was taking pictures.
So we were in the cemetery, the sun was shining, it was warm, I kept on walking and Badger kept on following. We ended up at the creek church and not a thing to photograph. Oh well, we got a mile walk in this morning.
Then later on in the afternoon and evening we took a few little short walks to the corner and back and around the block fully. Just to get out of the stuffy house.
It has to be a bit of spring fever.
Heron came home from E's house and went biking with a buddy.
He didn't get back until late this evening.
They biked six miles and his booty was sore.
Even Cowboy didn't snooze the day away today.
He stayed outside until nearly dinner time, working on his rototiller.
Now this evening was more normal, and we watched our “X-Files” until bedtime.
I think Badger told me she earned the right to be a couch potato.
Anyone have plans for Easter?
Cowboy will go to church, of course.
Badger and I aren't churchgoers.
Then it will be just another Sunday.
Heron will probably be at his girlfriend's.
The plan as of now is for Raven to go to the other parent’s house, and that can change, of course.
Peacock is coming up briefly on Saturday, and we're having a pancake brunch with him and Gealach.
Holidays aren't the same when you have older kids.
I'm getting off of here and heading to bed.
Here's hoping all those bananas Badger keeps shoving at me in the form of smoothies keep the leg cramps away.

No spring here yet so spring fever is waiting in the wings. We don't celebrate Easter so just another Sunday. We hardly do anything for holidays anymore. It's usually just he and I. Life does change and being a hermit doesn't help. It's good you get out for walks and Badger seems like a good companion.
Sandra: When does Minnesota start to see spring? I hope soon. Now that it’s April, we should start to see the really warm temperatures here in Tennessee.
Holidays just aren’t the same as we age, are they? I try to remember the holidays, but I can’t say we really celebrate them. Usually it just ends up being my husband, my daughter, and myself. Not really having friends or family does make celebrating holidays different.
My daughter has actually been told by her doctor to make sure she gets outside every day, so we lace up our sneakers and head out.
She is a pretty good companion.
Over the past dozen years or so our weather has changed, but generally we don't see spring until May. It does seen that spring is coming sooner now. My son was born April 17, 1974 and there was a big snow storm that day. Not unusual at that time.
Sandra: It seems like the weather is changing all over. What once you could count on now you can’t.
Your son has a memorable birth. That is awfully late in the year for a snowstorm, or at least it would be here in Tennessee.
Spring arriving in May doesn't really give you much time to enjoy the warm weather, does it?
Usually by that time we're already starting to see more summer-like temperatures.
