Snow happens, weather you like it or not

I sometimes wonder what our ancestors who first came to these mountains thought about our crazy weather.
Or maybe Ireland and Scotland’s weather is just as nutty.
I say Ireland and Scotland because those are the countries most of the settlers here came from.

It was seventy‑six degrees yesterday, in the low thirties today, and get this.
It snowed.
It freaking snowed.
We have a good dusting on the ground, and it is still coming down.

It stormed all night, and it was still storming when I woke up at seven.
They mentioned we might see snow flurries, but I’m reasonably sure they didn’t say it would stick.
I figured the ground was too warm and too wet from last night’s storms.
I guess Mother Nature showed me.

For once I’m writing this at 4 pm instead of 11 pm.
Who knows what the weather may be like as the evening goes on.

Other than the snow, there’s not much to say about today.

Badger and Cowboy came back from Badger’s weekly appointment with dinner from Arby’s.
That was a welcome surprise.
Even better, the kitchen stayed clean.

We’ve stayed in and watched TV all evening.

That’s about as good as it gets today.
I’m going back to “The X-Files.”
Tonight, it’s a giant blood-sucking worm.

Sounds like Michigan weather but we don't get quite as warm as you do down there, Our high is usually in the mid to upper 60's,

Jeanette: I take it Michigan has wacky weather too? Are sixties pretty typical for you in March? Our temperatures here are usually in the upper fifties to low sixties, but it can go from one extreme to the next quickly. We can have summer one day and be right back to winter within twenty‑four hours. The saying around here is, “if you don’t like the weather, give it an hour. It'll change.”

Where I live March is the most unpredictable month. We were I F this morning and currently 9 F. Tomorrow will be 42 Thursday will be 61. A bouncing ball. The weather you are having always feels very cold to me with the dampness in the air.

Sandra: March is very unpredictable. That is a big temperature swing from 1 to 61. I don’t see how you do it. I can’t handle the cold at all, and 1 is crazy cold.
Our dampness really settles into the bones.
I hope you stay warm.
