“Give a Southerner a minute and they’ll give you their whole life story.”

This is going to be one of those short and sweet blog posts, or as short as a chatty Southerner can get.
Not a whole heck of a lot happened today.

Raven hemmed and hawed until nearly time for Cowboy to go to work, but decided he and the kids would stay with his former partner this weekend.
She had surgery earlier this week, and isn’t up to taking care of the kids yet.

To be honest, that was a relief, although as Badger says, it makes it harder to readjust once they start coming down all the time again.

After Cowboy went to work, Badger went outside for a bit, trying to catch some birds on camera.
She didn’t have any luck, though.
I stayed inside.
I’m still reading my book.

She came in for supper, and we spent the evening watching “The X-Files.”

We took a short break and walked around the block to stretch our legs, but mostly it was a TV day.

2026 took Chuck Norris, dang.
So many celebrities are dying lately, and yes, for the most part, they are old.
But they were a backdrop to my childhood, and it hits hard.
Of course, I’m no longer a spring chicken either.

There are absolutely no plans for tomorrow
Sunday we're supposed to go to Aldi in Morristown, and then Monday is a quick doctor appointment for Badger.
She's hoping to switch her medication.
The
current one makes her too sleepy all the time.
He won’t switch unless he sees her.

Now I’m heading to bed.
I’d be happy to sleep through a night instead of waking up multiple times.
