Finding peace in the embrace of nature🌳🌷

The days are pretty much the same around here.
I keep repeating myself, but the only reason I even keep up with the blog these days is to try to know what the day is.
If I am not putting pen to paper, so to speak, I would never know the day.

Well, at least until Cowboy is yapping at us because we are not ready to go to town on Thursdays.
I guess I do know when it is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Wednesday we can't go walking because all the churches are having services.
Thursday we go to town.
Friday we get ready for Raven’s kids.
Still, the days hardly ever change.

After Cowboy went to work, Badger and I walked down to the creek church to sit.
We stayed two and a half hours.
I think Badger would have stayed longer, but it was after 6 p.m.
Even with the days staying light longer now, I don’t want to be caught on the pathway when it does get dark.

As we were crossing the street to go to the church, some old guy in a big old truck stopped to ask me how I liked that new guard rail. I told him it was awfully strange, and he muttered something about it not lasting long when one of those big trailers hits it, then took off. I’m guessing the thing isn’t very popular except with a very few people who don’t even live in this area.

Free Book Box House’s dog was out again, and this time he brought two buddies with him.
Luckily they didn’t chase us today, but I called animal control yet again.
I know they didn’t go down yesterday, and I doubt they will today, but if I call enough, maybe they’ll eventually go just to shut me up.

The dogs were nearly to the school.
I don’t know if they’re aggressive, but why risk it?

It’s not safe for the dogs or for people.
They could get hit by a car or shot.
We have some mighty hateful people around here when a stray is messing with their horses or cows.

I’ve been called a Karen, but it’s not being a Karen when you’ve got a pack of dogs running loose and you’re out walking.

Someone said they were down at the cemetery one day, which is even worse.
You have to cross a four-lane highway to get there.
I just don’t understand people.

Maybe I am turning into a Karen in my old age.
I'd just like to be able to take a walk, without worrying about getting bit by a dog.

Anyway, the rest of the evening has just been watching TV.

Tomorrow is Wednesday, so unless we risk going around our block, and I say risk because you have to dodge the biting beagle and the pitbull straining to get off his leash, then it’ll be a rest day.

With that, I’m heading to bed.
