“Disappointment comes from expectation meeting reality.”

I haven’t looked at TVs in years, haven’t needed to. 
We got to Walmart and started looking, and there was only one TV that still said Roku on it. 
The rest were Google TVs.
 A clerk explained that Google TVs still have apps like Netflix and Hulu, but they don’t have the Roku channel since that’s specific to Roku.

Great. 
Cowboy likes to nap with the Roku channel on.

So we ended up buying a Hisense 58-inch TV because it was the only Roku TV they had in the store.
It wasn’t the brand nor size we wanted.

It’s doubtful we can even get it to fit in our corner. 
Cowboy bought a swivel mount for it, hoping it’ll swing out far enough from the wall to make it work. 
I’m not exactly optimistic.

It barely fit in the trunk.
 It stuck out a good bit, Cowboy tied it down the best he could, then had to secure the trunk since it wouldn’t close. 
So we rode home with the trunk partly open and a TV sticking out the back.

We got it home, and the thing is almost as long as my futon, so tomorrow is going to be interesting when he tries to get it up.

It was getting really close to 1 p.m. by the time we finally got home. 
Luckily, Badger had already put dinner in the crockpot, so at least we had dinner waiting.

By the time Cowboy got the TV inside and went out to take care of his chickens, it was already time for dinner.

Speaking of chickens, one of our neighbors had a right pretty rooster running loose. 
It was probably just free-ranging, but it kept free-ranging at our chicken coop sweet-talking our hens. 
So Cowboy did what Cowboy does. 
He caught it, and now that rooster is living happily with a couple of hens of his own.

If the neighbors happen to miss it, well, around here we’ve got coyotes and stray dogs. 
Who’s to say it wasn’t someone’s dinner.

After Cowboy left for work, Badger took the dogs outside and stayed out there until nearly dark.

I stayed inside at the computer playing my online games. 
It’s not exactly productive, but it keeps me entertained and passes the time.

Surprisingly, tonight wasn’t a TV night, and Badger headed to bed early.

I guess I’ll head to bed too and read on my book for a while.
