The year is moving by fast.
Another Mother’s Day has already come and gone.
Heron headed to his girlfriend’s.
He sent me a text apologizing, but there wasn’t any reason for him to stay here all day.
Raven sent me a Happy Mother’s Day text.
Badger got up early and made the breakfast casserole I like.
Peacock and Gealach came up for a little while.
Peacock cooked eggs over easy and stuffed crabs for dinner, and we ate while watching a movie together.
Of course, Gealach has a set time to be back with her Mom, so they were gone by the time Cowboy came home from morning services.
Cowboy came home from church, took a quick nap, and then we headed to Knoxville.
We walked through the McClung Museum and then went on to the Museum of East Tennessee History.
It was an unplanned trip, but very enjoyable.
We grabbed a quick coffee at Starbucks, stopped at East Town Walmart, and just made it home in time for Cowboy to head to evening services.
Badger fixed salmon for supper, my favorite.
We ate after Cowboy came home from church.
Badger and I are ending the day watching “The X-Files” in the bedroom.
Cowboy has his shows that none of us really care for, so usually we all just watch our own TV.
For me, it’s more about seeing my kids than presents, but I did get some gifts.
Badger bought me a new sun hat.
It’s the South, we don’t go without headgear.
It’s flamingos, which I love.
She also said painting the rooster was part of my present.
Heron cleared out my she-shed flower bed and replanted flowers, saying that was my present.
The living room TV was a gift from Cowboy.
Peacock gave me a flower and a coffee basket with about four or five bags of coffee and a box of biscotti.
So it was thoughtful of them, and I do appreciate it.
No weekly visit for Badger tomorrow, but we still have to go to Jefferson City since her glasses are finally back.
That actually was pretty quick.
No more sunglasses.
I’m heading to bed.

I hope you had a good one as well.
This was a lovely day. I don't remember what I did on Mother's Day. I got a text from the son in the morning. Otherwise it was a day like any other.
Sandra: It was a lovey day.
Sounds like your day was a quiet overall. Glad you heard from your son in the morning.
