Rainy days slow time

Today was more like April than May.
We woke up to rain, and it's rained off and on all day.
I'm sure not complaining, we need the rain.

Cowboy didn’t wake up until almost 11 a.m.
He fussed about it, but he didn’t have anything to do today.
I figured he needed the rest.

Badger and I took a walk down to the creek.
She was hoping to get some rain pictures, but the rain had already stopped by then.
I think she still managed to get a few pretty shots of water drops hanging on the leaves, though.

It was getting close to 1 p.m. by the time we got home, which was cutting it pretty close for Cowboy heading to work.
Luckily, dinner was just boxed fish and shrimp, so it was quick and easy.

Between him sleeping late and us going walking, we hardly saw Cowboy at all today.
It felt like we had just gotten home before he was already heading off to work.

After Cowboy left, I played my online games.
Badger cleaned house.
I thought the house was clean enough as it was.
With just the four of us here now, it doesn't get filthy.
As long as you sweep the cat and dog hair up every day and keep up with the dishes and laundry, the house is perfectly fine.
But if she wants to sweep, mop, and vacuum, more power to her.

The rest of the evening was spent watching TV.
We haven't had steady rain all day, just little showers coming and going, but it's still been the kind of day that makes you want to stay inside.

It's not even 9 p.m. yet, but Badger has already turned the TV off and headed to bed.
I guess I'll shut the computer down and head to my room to finish that book I've been reading.
Maybe play a game or two on my tablet before I go to sleep.

Tomorrow is town day, so we'll probably be up early, although Badger and I usually are anyway.
The only difference is instead of sitting around with coffee and Facebook for a while, we'll be out the door and on the road.

Jeanette: Thank you. My daughter is getting better and better with the pictures. I’m glad you like the header too.
